I think given the prominence of Reed's name in the title of my project, it is worth saying that my interpretation of Reed's work is not a holistic picture of his work nor necessarily the primary theme running through his work. Our task for this project was to find inspiration from 3 things. Mine were the artist, David Reed, the architectural element, stair, and the material group, synthetics. I have come to believe that there is no such thing as an ultimately right answer in architecture. Not in school, anyway. I'm attempting this semester to grasp a strong idea quickly and go with it. Movement is an essential theme throughout Reed's art and that is a strong enough and simple enough concept to go with.
